Little Free Library: The Little Free Library has been very popular. So popular, that we need more space for all the books. We are hoping that someone in the community who knows a little about woodworking will volunteer to build some additional shelves. If you’re interested, please contact the management company or one of the Board members. For those who have not seen the library, it is next to the pool bulletin board. All residents, adults and children, are invited to donate a book and/or take a book.
Landscape Committee Update: We have had several homeowners comment on the excess of bark and leaves in our community. Please note that this is a natural occurrence in the summer and this should be over in another month. The landscape company mows and blows every Monday/or every other Monday depending on the need. Any concerns regarding landscape should be reported to the management company. The landscape committee continues to hold monthly walk-throughs. If you would like to join us, it is the third Friday of the month and we meet at 10:30am in the pool parking lot.
Pool News: The pool filter had to be replaced, and getting parts caused delays, but the pool service kept the pool open by manually adding chemicals and salt, and more frequent visits for cleaning during the time the system was down. As a safety measure, a Knox Box (type of lock box) has been securely mounted to the pool fence by the gate on the cabana side. This will provide emergency access for the Fire Department and EMTs.
Community Volunteers: One of our residents recently noted the amount of trash that had accumulated in the common area on del Obispo. He took it upon himself to pick it all up. Thank you, Bill Rivera. The landscape company cleans the areas they are working on each week, but they cannot be everywhere at once.
Board Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month, currently via Zoom. For maintenance requests, forms, questions, concerns, emergencies, etc. contact Dana Pacific Management at (949) 248-4300 or pbell@danapacificms.com
