When and where are board meetings held?
Unless otherwise noted, the Board of Directors meet every third Tuesday of the month at the City of San Juan Capistrano Community center located at 25925 Camino Del Avion San Juan Capistrano, Ca 92675. The usual start time for meeting is 6:30PM. There is a homeowners forum where homeowners may address the board with concerns they have for the board to review. Due to time constraints, homeowners are given three minutes to address the board. It is recommended if you have a concern or issue to contact the management company so that the board can receive and review your concern at the following meeting. The “Open Meeting Act” allows members to observe the meeting but members do not have the right to participate in the Board’s deliberation or votes. During the homeowner’s forum, items not included in on the agenda that are raised by homeowners may briefly be responded to by the Board. However, no action may occur with respect to that item unless it is deemed an emergency by the Board of Directors and developed after the agenda was posted.
How can I get involved in volunteering for the HOA or running for the Board of Directors?
Attend a meeting or contact the property management company for details. Community involvement is what makes for a great community, and participation is essential otherwise we wouldn’t have a board nor committees. Get involved and have some fun!
