JUNE 2020
LANDSCAPING: Let’s start with the good news! As we’re sure you’ve all noticed, the landscaping at the entrance has been completed and is a much needed improvement. Actually, it is not quite completed, as there will be plants added to hide the chainlink fence. Also, once the monument has been replaced more plantings will be added to the island. Going forward, the color accents will be replaced on a seasonal basis. Again, we thank our landscape committee and our gardners for their hard work. We are aware that many of the hedges in the community are in need of trimming. The landscape company has said that they will be caught up with that by the end of June. If you have a concern or request regarding landscaping, email the management company and it will be passed on to the landscape committee. Their walk-thru continues to be the 3rd Friday of the month.
RULES & REGULATIONS: The Association’s Rules and Regulations have been revised and approved by the Board of Directors at their May meeting. A copy has been mailed to all homeowners. If you haven’t received your copy, please let the management company know. It is very important for everyone to read and understand the rules. Owners are required to give a copy to their tenants. It is our hope that everyone will follow the rules in a spirit of cooperation to maintain Captain’s Hill as the pleasant community in which we all chose to live. However, there is a complaint form available from the management company (and hopefully soon on our website) if you would like to make the Board aware of someone who is in violation of the rules.
MONUMENT PROJECT: In the last newsletter we anticipated that work on the project would begin April 16. Well, you can see how that worked out! The latest word is that due to the Corona virus, the staff at the city has been reduced by half. Our permit has been approved and just needs to be issued. Maybe this week? Stay tuned…
ASSOCIATION POOL: The Board and Management have been following closely the rules and recommendations coming from the state and county authorities regarding reopening of association pools during Covid-19. As you may be aware, that information is constantly changing. As we write this, the Board has asked our legal counsel to review the latest information and advise. There will likely be a special Board meeting held before the end of June to discuss our options for reopening.
WEBSITE: Another reminder to sign in to our website for up-to-date announcements. www.captainshill.org Put in your email address & you will be automatically notified of new postings. We’re still looking for a webmaster!
Board Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Items that homeowners want reviewed by the Board need to be received by management at least 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting.
